On Jan. 13, the Kansas City Brigade scrimmaged with the Grand Rapids, MI, AFL squad... Apparently, the KC Brigade played some pretty good Arena Football.

Kansas City Brigade Defeats Grand Rapids Rampage

Coach Kevin Porter gives the team some feedback

Neil Smith

Anxious to see their first real action of the preseason, the Brigade certainly did not play against the Grand Rapids Rampage on Monday afternoon at Kemper Arena like it was a scrimmage. All three Brigade
Quarterbacks threw touchdown passes and the defense scored nine points of its own on the way to a 30-28 win.
“We saw some positive things and we saw some things that we need to work on,” Coach Kevin Porter said. “Overall I would say that the day was a success, but now we will evaluate the film and get back at it on the
practice field. We have very high standards for our team, so we are never completely satisfied, but I thought our key players were consistent and some of the new guys stepped up at times to make some plays. We still have a lot of [training] camp left.”

Dos Mundos supplied the article from where that was excerpted. The full story is worth reading and they have some good Kansas City Brigade pictures, too.
